WHAT TYPES OF MATERIALS ARE BEING USED TO MAKE MONILO SHOES?
We use the highest quality materials for our shoes and pay great attention to the production process in order to achieve the uppermost possible excellence at every stage. To create a beautiful pair of MONILO shoes we use 1st grade calf leather (top grain) together with genuine palladium and rose gold hardware. The insoles are made from natural undyed goat leather for optimised perspiration regulatory function, so that the cute little feet are more comfortable and sweat less. Naturally simple.
WHAT KIND OF SOLES DO YOU USE FOR MONILO SHOES?
The soles that we choose for our models are constructed with the purpose to support healthy foot development. The second most important thing: comfort. As always, we use the highest achievable quality possible with three main finishes: our outstanding standard leather sole for girls and used for sandals, with an anti-slip front panel. Our second most used, especially across the boys models is the chopper sole made from rubber; and, of course, our classic white rubber sole for the sporty models.
WHAT KIND OF METALS DO YOU USE FOR HARDWARE?
Our designers pay great attention to detail. Therefore we have decided to go a step further and enhanced our designs with precious metals. For our Little Princesses we chose to use genuine rose gold, which compliments every shade of our leather; and for our Little Adventurers we have chosen palladium as our main metal. We are currently exploring our options to soon launch a limited edition with Swarovski Crystals; possibly diamonds and other precious stones. Stay tuned.
WHERE ARE MONILO SHOES MADE?
Our search for the right partner to start our journey was quite long. We decided not to rush. And it ended nowhere else but in Italy, where we finally found a great, family owned business that represented the perfect mixture of the right mind-set and experience. We became an international family. Together we combined a timeless British eye for elegance in our beautiful MONILO designs and 25 years of knowledge and Italian expertise in shoemaking, with the speciality in children shoes. All this based on artisanal handmade production process. Always keeping in mind- from concept to end product- to support healthy foot development through our products.
HOW DO I PROPERLY TAKE CARE OF MY CHILD'S MONILOS?
With every delivery we will provide you with MONILO Information Card inside of which you will find care instructions. You can also find them on every product page (Care Instructions).
For cleaning please use a wet cloth to remove excessive mud or dirt when the shoes are still damp.
Canvas: Using a damp cloth, rub gently with lukewarm water and mild soap. DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY.
Leather/Synthetic: Using a damp cloth, rub gently with lukewarm water and mild soap. Shoes should be then polished with a good quality wax polish or neutral cream. DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY.
Suede: or Nabouk: Brush away dirt with a suede brush when dry. DO NOT USE WATER. DO NOT MACHINE DRY.
Drying: Dry at room temperature, stuff with paper to help maintain their shape. Change paper occasionally throughout drying process. To prolong the life, Do Not Apply Direct Heat.
NEVER LEAVE SHOES TO DRY IN FRONT OF FIRES, ON RADIATORS OR HOT PIPES.
The heat will encourage cracking of the leather and premature wearing, as it will dry out the natural tonnage of the material. Avoid leaving shoes in direct sunlight.

CAN I RETURN MY ITEM? HOW?
Yes, of course! If, for whatever reason, you decide that your MONILO product is not everything that you'd hope for, then you're entitled to return it for a full refund, as long as you do so within 14 working days starting from the date of delivery. We promise that we'll do everything we can to ensure you have a pleasant MONILO experience.
HOW TO PAY?
You can pay for our products using a debit card or a credit card or by using your PayPal account. We accept the following cards: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro & JCB. Payment for the products and all applicable delivery charges are made in advance. We will not charge your debit card or credit card until we dispatch your order.
WHAT IS MONILO'S PHILOSOPHY/ WHAT ARE THE VALUES THAT YOU WANT TO REPRESENT?
We wanted to challenge the quality that is out there in the market and create an authentic brand based on passion and love of what we do. We've asked ourselves: What if a children luxury brand could be functional, beautiful, and the epitome of craftsmanship all at the same time? What if a children luxury brand could look every bit the part AND be good for the wellbeing of the little wearer too? What if a children luxury brand was a nostalgic stood for stories, play and imagination, whilst at the same time caring about its impact on the planet?
Our aim is to be the first and the best in meeting the needs of a conscious costumer who understands the importance of not only having beautiful but also healthy shoes for their children as they shape the formation of joints and spine. Very often those first steps determine the way children would walk for the rest of their lives.

WHAT IS THE WARRANTY ON YOUR SHOES?

We believe that if properly used, our MONILO shoes will serve you well all the way until you outgrow them. We've seen it before where MONILOs were passed on to the next generation. It is not something we recommend but, of course, sometimes there are certain sentimental or financial aspects where we do not challenge, ever. Do as you please.
STANDARD MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY: 30 days
You have the right to get faulty goods replaced or repaired if it's too late to cancel your order. You can state your preference in the return form. Under the Sale of Goods Act, we can either repair or replace your faulty goods 'within a reasonable time but without causing significant inconvenience'.
HOW DOES MONILO CARE ABOUT THE CORRECT FOOT DEVELOPMENT?
From the design phase all the way to the finished product, we make sure to always consider child's healthy foot development and we always bare in mind the anatomy of a child's foot, so our shoes are not only meant to be beautiful and unique in their design but also comfortable and healthy for the little ones who are going to be wearing them. We work closely with experienced orthopaedists, who supervise the process to form the right shape for all of our models- so that they have enough space in between the toes and have the right support around the ankle, especially for the younger children who are just about to take their first steps or are still at the beginning of their walking experience.
